Willow Tree Management Consulting, LLC was established by Chief Strategic Advisor, Ms. Kia Brown. Ms. Brown is a proud alumnus of Bowie State University and Johns Hopkins University where she received her B.S. Degree in Psychology and M.S. Degree in Organizational Development and Strategic Human Resources, respectively. Ms. Brown has also studied graduate level Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Willow Tree Management Consulting is certified as a Maryland Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).
Ms. Brown's passion for strategically mobilizing progressive change within organizations has afforded her the opportunity to gain experience with improving organizational systems in the private, non-profit, education, and government sectors. Ms. Brown has held Senior Human Resources and Human Capital consultant positions ranging in the areas of personnel test/assessment tool development, performance management, strategic workforce planning, program development and evaluation, teambuilding, and talent management. Ms. Brown is a member of various professional associations, including Academy of Management, Organizational Development Network and Society for Human Resources Management.
Ms. Brown understands that change invokes a sense of uncertainty and is often difficult to manage, but as Fredrick Douglass stated, "If there's no struggle, there's no progress". Therefore, Ms. Brown pride herself in alleviating the organizational challenges that her clients face while helping them progress towards achieving their long term goals.
